About NAMI Family-to-Family

Living with a severe mental illness is a daunting challenge for both the people who have the illness and their loved ones. Fortunately, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers a free 12-week Family-to-Family course, developed to help family members care for themselves while gaining a better understanding of mental illness, empathy for their love ones, and skills to help their loved ones in need.

NAMI’s Family-to-Family course is geared to any family member or friend whose loved one has schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, panic disorder, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, or obsessive compulsive disorder. The class is not church based or affiliated with any denomination, and is offered by the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
